“Hey guys, I thought I would share this photo with anyone interested in how to do a quintessential Santa Barbara style copper gutter system on a Spanish-style home or commercial building.
I shot this photo in historic downtown Santa Barbara… last March, and I got excited because it really helps illustrate the high-end look you can get with certain components. For example, the 6 inch half round gutter system that runs all along the roof line. But then there’s also what’s called a seamless round elbow or you know they have them in 33° angles 45° angles 90° angles. And these are assembled to wrap around windows. Or in this case, a window and a roof rafter tail.
And this installer just did a masterful job of just creating a very elegant look and design . Once all those parts are assembled, they can solder them in place so that they’re watertight and such.
